The importance of safety nets

Safety nets are used to protect both workers and materials on construction sites. These nets are designed to absorb the energy of a fall while minimising the risk of injury. They are ideally used for a variety of purposes – from protecting free edges and openings in structures, to being used as fall protection on scaffolding.

Uses and benefits

• Uses: Protection during the construction of halls, shopping centres, bridges, protection against free edges and openings in structures, as a fall protection device on scaffolding, protection against falling material, and as walking nets, with a grid of 45 mm
• Advantages: Ensuring safety without restricting the movement of workers, less vigorous arrest of a falling person than in a full-body harness, increasing safety for workers under the installed net

Types of rented nets

We offer two main types of safety nets:

• System S – Fall protection net with a perimeter cable designed to catch a fall

                              – Mounted horizontally, minimum net area is 35 m²

• System  U –  Vertical fall protection net designed to prevent falls of persons or material from height

                                –  Standarddimension is 1.5–2 m × required length
